Course Outline

This train the trainer course is essential to ensure your staff are correctly following the guidelines and legal requirements in the care of vulnerable adults. Delegates should gain good practical and theoretical knowledge of safeguarding issues, whilst also being taught a range of teaching methods and public speaking skills, enhancing their abilities as an instructor.

Course Content

• Different types of abuse.
• Recognising where abuse is occurring.
• Symptoms of abuse.
• Handling abuse.
• Legislation.
• Reporting and record-keeping.

• Feeding back productively.
• Evaluating.
• Icebreakers.
• Presenting information.
• ‘Do’s and don’ts’.

Course Assessment

The course is delivered in 1 day and candidates must demonstrate a willingness to learn along with interaction in group activities.
